The ReSound Smart 3D app lets you control your hearing aids directly from your mobile device. You can change programs, and make simple or more advanced sound adjustments and save them as favorites. The app helps you learn what you can do and how to do it. It can even help you find your hearing aids if you lose them. Last, but not least, you can have your hearing care professional update your hearing aid programs and send you new hearing aid software without taking a trip to the clinic.

Use the ReSound Smart 3D app to:
• Enjoy optimization anywhere with ReSound Assist: Request help with your hearing aid settings from your hearing care professional and receive new settings and software updates.

• Adjust volume of your optionally acquired ReSound streaming accessories

My new HAs
I haven’t had new hearing aids in years and I’ve been so positively overwhelmed with my new aids I’m going to be singing some major sweet notes in this review. I wish I hadn’t waited so long for my new hearing aids but I’m so very glad that I got them now. They work so much better than any other hearing aids I’ve purchased that not only am I happy, but I also don’t have a single negative issue to suggest your company work on improvements. These hearing aids are the most amazing hearing aids I’ve ever used. For the first time in my deaf life I’m not unhappy about being a hearing aid user. Thank you for making hearing aids that are comfortable, easy to use, connected to my cell phone, and what I love the most; controlling the volume in my head and adjustments (nobody else can hear what I’m listening to, tv or phone calls). Thank you for making my disease so much easier to deal with out in the world and for using on the phone. 👍

You connect these like you would connect any Bluetooth device but through the accessibility group under settings. Then scroll down to “hearing devices”. At the top of the next screen it will be looking for your aids. Open and close the battery door with batteries inside of course. Wait about 10 seconds and at the top box you should see the Resound name and L and R for left and right. Push this. A new window opens and you will be asked to pair with your I-phone. Push that. Close the app out and then restart it. You should see you app looking for the aids. Success. You may close the app out before you do all the pairing stuff and then open when the pairing is done. If all this fails, try rebooting your phone which you should do weekly anyway or reinstalling the app. The reboot is especially important after you install a new version of the Apple iOS. I have tried 6 apps from six different aids and although the aids all have possibilities, I choose Resound because of the app, as my hearing is variable from ear to ear so I need to custom the sound. Other apps do not compare. One comment. Could use another band on the sound shaper. Resound One here I come.
I now have the Resound 9s on. Marie receiver doesn’t work for me due to my type of hearing loss. The app is still good and connects quickly but more choices in programs would be good(transport, mask and reverberate EX.) and a 4th band on sound shaper would also be good.

Hey Rickus, thank you for this feedback. If you ask your Hearing Care Professional they will be happy to install the additional programs you wish. We have a mask program available, and an Outdoor/Transport one which helps cut down on road/wind noise.
Constant connection issues
Once the HA are connected it seems fine but after charging the HA overnight the connection on one or both HA is lost. Then the hokey pokey begins. I usually just give up. Also, the charging case appears to be needed in any attempt to reconnect the HA to the app. That means one is to always have the charging case available at all times? Not taking it with me while out all day. Very disappointed and frustrating Update 02/05 hit or miss on phone connection. Most of the time one or the other will show up as disconnected. On the plus side had HA’s changed to control volune, right up, left down. Another minus, cannot answer a phone call bia the HA’s as I could with my Phonak HA’s. So if my iPhone is in another room I need to go find it to answer a call. If Phonak can. Answer via the aids, why not Resound? App is less than average. 3/27: the app rarely stays connected to the aids. Most every morning need to do the Resound hokey pokey, in case, out of case, settings, pair, in case, out of case, yada yada … ridiculous. Would like these hearing aids and the Phonak app which worked all the time.
The developer response for the connection issue doesn’t provide any answer to the connection dropping issues. How to connect is explained in the app or other. I rarely use the app because of issues. As long as they stay connected to the iPhone is all the matters.
