To get started, download and launch the app. Sign-in with your kp.org user ID and password. A Northern California member without a kp.org user ID and password can register from the app – just tap “Sign-In Help.” Once you sign-in, enable app notifications to get personalized reminders for appointments, procedures, and more.

Mediocre, and app designer doesn’t seem to care

I see so many complaints here about this app!! And the developer only has responded to a handful, in which case they only ask that the complainer would please email them at their address without any further explanation of the problem or how to solve it. Very frustrating!!

Personally I also find it difficult to login to this app, and it’s much easier to do my video appointments by logging into the main Kaiser website via Safari, logging in and going to the appointment page, then following the prompts in there to access the video appointments on my iPad.

This app does show you your upcoming appointments and some lab results, which is convenient, especially if I’m away from my laptop. However the medical reminders, such as it’s time for a cervical exam, are out of date. I had the cervical exam and the test already two weeks ago and it is still reminding me that I need to do that.

In closing, I have deleted this app from my iPad, though I still have it on my iPhone. Most everything I need to do with Kaiser, like make appointments and order prescription refills, I prefer to do it on my laptop using the browser, rather than trying to visit any of the Kaiser apps.

Broke again

This app rarely ever lets me update my test readings from my One Touch Vero Flex meter. It tries to sync with the meter and fails. It has not worked since the last update for the last three months except maybe two or three times in the last 30 days, so I know it can work sometimes and is not totally screwed up and nonfunctional all the time.
This has been the normal way it malfunctions since I installed it almost a year ago. It worked OK until the first update and since then every update makes it worse.
I cleared the app and reloaded a fresh copy several times and that did not change anything.
The data logger that came with with the meter will update the readings in the One Touch database automatically every time I use the meter if my iPad is within range even if it is off in standby mode. The Kaiser app also automatically uploaded meter readings before the first update but has never even worked with any kind of attempt to upload a meter reading since the first update.
Nobody from my Kaiser caregivers has ever asked me why there have been no new meter readings for the last month so I guess it is not as important to them as I was led to believe, but the meter readings are at least actively stored and reviewed by LifeScan who made the meter and still support it with updates to the app that still continue to work as expected.

System not responding

This app is a convenient way to see info regarding upcoming appointments or checking results but many times I tried to email my doctor but was unable to do because it kept saying system not responding. I tried many times on a same day but same message then I tried actual website and message went through right away. Also many times it doesn’t send attachments with messages and I didn’t even know that my attachments were not sent until my doctor mentioned that he’s only receiving messages but no attachments.
Secondly, it’s very inconvenient to search for previous tests or see a graph. It says with the test result if you want to see a graph of previous test then click on past previous tests or see a graph but there’s nothing to click. In order to see a pattern of previous tests you have to type in the test name and it will give all the test results done so far. There’s no way to check all the past results one after another because every time you click back it’s supposed to be back to the list of same test done at different days but instead it takes back to main test results with all recent tests.
I wish they add this to the tests so it’s easy to check the pattern of one particular test at different dates.
