Putting Absa to be the best bank like before
There should be debit order reversals option on the App to reduce the call volume of general equities line, they should also introduce home loan and vehicle finance where customers get an opportunity to see if they qualify or not due based on their credit record. I believe if Absa introduce more functions on the App it will reduce a lot of call volumes and our rating of being number 6 of all banks will be reduced and also Absa should upgrade their technology and computers that their employees work with to be more faster and they give much better service . A lot can be done to make Absa the best bank like before if only employees were given a chance to say what needs to be done because I believe they know more as they the ones who assist giving the service and know what customers complain with all the time. We should make our banking easier and more fathers yet also looking out on risks . Approving more for car finance can actually generate a lot of money for the bank as the bank won’t be loosing anything but gaining should a customer fail to pay the car will be taken simple as that then personal loan it should be more strict because should a person loose their jobs they will fail to pay and it’s a loss for the bank .
I stopped using this app on my old phone because it randomly one day decided that my “credentials are incorrect”. Went to a close branch but they couldn’t help.
I’ve had the app on my new phone (iphone 8) and have been using it for a month now and it recently started with the same problem, my fingerprint isn’t recognized as well as my account details and passwords (pin). I just updated the app today but the problem still persists. I’m over this app because it ruins my banking experience. I have to rely on my other Bank account to make transactions. I might close this current Absa account if I don’t find a solution. It’s simply irritating.

I am travelling and am required to purchase electricity online for those at home. The City Council has linked my unique meter to my purchase so no danger of someone trying to buy on my account. Yet the Absa banking app still requires an OTP. The app froze on my iPhone 7 Plus despite the OS12.1 software being up to date. The Absa help desk told me that there was probably a problem with the cloud and asked me to delete the app and reinstall it. I deleted it but am unable to reinstall as I get no GET prompt. Absolutely no reaction from tapping the app. Still frozen. Still no electricity at home and those left behind went to SPAR when it opened to purchase units. Conclusion: your process has not been defined using end user input; your software is very sensitive and unsuited for use by ordinary people who don’t know the intricacies of their phone or your app. I cannot depend on this feature when I travel and it is enough motivation to consider changing to another bank for internet banking.
