I was with virgin mobile pay as you go for years only because the whole family were with them for mobile,landline and WiFi so there were deals to recommend people and I can call my mums landine and any other unlimited! That sold it as we all spoke to mum daily for over an hour at a time but other than that I had to top up £10 a month for unlimited landline and 120 mobile min and if I topped up £15 a month I would get 3000 text, then at the end of last year virgin mobile said they were doing away with pay as you go top up and had to jump through hoops to keep my number I had with them for years so eventually my brother and father took upon themselves to research best value and then 2 days ago put a new Vodafone sim in £10 top up and I am over the moon they did, I had to change my number but it worked out for the best as I only gave it to the people who I really wanted it and the unlimited calls text and I think 5 gig and not exactly sure as I have never had data so value wise I am happy and wish I changed years ago and I have already recommended it to my partner.

I have a SIM only PAYG account and use it for my burglar alarm. I had problems with the app the first time I needed to top up and had to get a specialist to do it manually. I had a problem with the alarm which caused it to send alerts to various phones. As a result I kept getting bleeping as Vodaphone kept trying to make calls to the SIM. I went into the app to try to top it up it failed interacting with my bank despite me authorising the top up with my banking app. I re-entered my credit card details and tried again. Still rejected. I opened a complaint and after getting past the robot texted a specialist who gave me a web address to top up. This failed when a pop up took over the screen with an offer of increased data. As this is a burglar alarm SIM I wasn’t interested but was unable to get rid of it. I opened another chat with the robot and eventually got through to another specialist who said he tried it and it was working. I tried again and it was still ruined by the pop up but then I got a screen telling me there were problems with the billing platform. I then asked if I could cancel the SIM but he persuaded me to try again. I had to remove the SIM from the alarm to give him the serial number, so I tried the web address he gave me and it was successful with the same credit card I had tried before. I put the SIM back now although it is showing a signal the connection to the network is down. So far I have tried to use the app five times and every time it has failed despite me reloading it under instruction

Stupid company I will never buy anything from them. They sent me a bill of £151 to pay them because I called them 30 days before and called myself the direct debit. Called them many times nothing it’s like playing a violin in front of a donkey they just don’t understand. My contract was for 24 month and I payed for 25 still want money from me. The company 3 is 200 times better than them they understand they help you to the last. Don’t get stuck on them even if you cancel your contract they will still send you bills until they are not satisfy. I called them today and spoke with them for 2 hours and 20 min and nothing he game me two option like in a movie do or die he said pay the full amount or wait for next Friday for us to enquiry. I asked when I cancelled the direct debit why didn’t you sent any letter he said we don’t deal with letters and told him when with other companies you don’t pay something they send a text, email and a letter and even if you don’t reply they send a warning letter he said we don’t deal with letter and I asked why did you send after 6 month a letter even now you should have send a text. I will never never buy anything from them even if it is the last company stupid costumer service they have I payed for twig whole year and payed on time without any problem and this is what you get in the end. My call got disconnected and he didn’t even tried to call me back and then they say we really care for you. I would not give them any star. I would never recommend to anyone.

I’ve had a Vodafone Pay Monthly acc for almost 2 years now. I have always paid my monthly bills via the app with my saved Monzo card. I’ve never had a failed payment or missing payment issue. Since the release of the revamped app, I made my normal monthly payment and four days later received a threatening text saying my services would be cut off if I didn’t pay. I checked my Monzo statement and saw the transaction certainly came out. Vodafone chat agent didn’t believe me. I couldn’t provide screenshots in chat as proof and because the transaction actually sat in pending (despite being debited from my balance), I had no transaction number as a reference. Monzo couldn’t see the transaction either (again despite this coming out of my balance). I had to show THEM screenshots on what I could see. I ended up trying to pay twice more as I didn’t want my phone cut off and the exact outcome happened both times. I’m now stuck trying to make a manual payment through their chat and have three missing debits, until both Monzo and Vodafone investigate. For anyone using Monzo, you will be asked to approve the transaction in the app, then it shows as successful. In the Vodafone app, it shows successful. So completely unsuspecting for anyone this is not working. Vodafone - test your payment gateways before you launch new products and stop blaming your customers for the issue. I’m just at a loss how your customer service could think this is a user error!?
