We have been going to the San Lorenzo location for over 30 years. Seen it through tough times and when it was so busy you HAD to have a reservation. It was always a casual but high end feeling place with nice people and a relaxed atmosphere. My kids are now grown and it is their restaurant of choice for special occasions. The potato skins can’t be beat and the prime rib, wonderful.

On April 28 received an email about $10 off a $60 3-course feast that was valid April 27 and 28. Couldn’t order yesterday since the email came today. Ordered today. The delivery person took it to a wrong address. Sent us a photo of somebody else’s door. Our house has big number on it. I tracked him down but he didn’t he speak a word of English. Took me forever to communicate with him using Google translator. Finally he returned and gave me our order. The food was absolutely cold. We ordered two steaks both medium well. One was medium well, the other one was rather medium or even medium rear. The bread that we like so much was at least 2-3 days old. Barely could bite it. The food was very tasty but why couldn’t the service be better. Every time we order there is something wrong and it’s like nobody cares. Few times spoke with managers bc every time there is an issue and they absolutely don’t care. We continue to order because we like the food. But not the service. Why can’t a major restaurant chain provide better service?

I’m a bit disappointed with Black Angus right now. Specially with the Fountain Valley location. I usually go to the Buena Park location and everything is always up to par. But over a week ago, I placed a mobile order for pickup at the Fountain Valley location because it was near where I was working for the day. Anywho, I ordered 2 steak dinners and an appetizer. But never received the appetizer. I messaged customer service regarding this and they messaged me back with an automated message saying, management from the Fountain Valley location will contact me within 72hrs. Well, it’s going on 6 days now and still haven’t heard from anyone. I doubt management is that busy to even call or just simply reimburse me the appetizer because I’m never returning to that location due to the lack of care from management.

Using sliders for amounts instead of clear + or - and totals makes the experience fiddly and inexact for users. Wording used for most descriptions is confusing and ‘add item’ vs ‘order’ is not easily understood. Really poor UI experience. Took far longer than necessary to place order and I almost gave up. No mention of whether or not bread is included (it’s provided at tables, so hopefully it’ll be in my order???). Price for almost everything varies depending on what sides and mains you add so it’s very confusing to figure out what you’re ordering and what the cost will be until you’re done.
