The new smartphone app, Samsung SMART CAMERA App. has integrated three existing apps to save time and effort.
When using your Samsung SMART CAMERA, please connect it to your Smartphone or tablet through Wi-Fi in advance
,making your experience much convenient.
Launch a trio of SMART CAMERA apps through your smartphone;
AutoShare, MobileLink, and Remote Viewfinder ? three apps at once, all through a single touch on your phone.
AutoShare
With AutoShare, SMART CAMERA automatically and simultaneously
sends every photo you take to your smartphone and tablets in real time,
the instant you take them. It is always handy to have an automatically-saved, extra copy of your photos on your phone as backup, without having to copy or backup each time.
Mobile Link
Your SMART CAMERA communicates with smartphones and tablets, so you can send photos and videos wirelessly via MobileLink. Select one photo or all, press copy and send ? not as a message link or an attachment file but directly, all while retaining the same high quality image without conversion
or compression. It’s so simple, fast, and easy to share!
Remote Viewfinder
Your smartphone acts as a viewfinder for your SMART CAMERA ?ideal in lining up a shot anywhere.
Set up the frame, zoom in or out and preview, tweak camera settings,
and press shutter ? all remotely from your phone.
Insert yourself into the frame and know exactly how the picture looks,
make any adjustments for that perfect shot.

Samsung is like the person that is always starting a new project but never follows it through to completion.I bit the bullet and switched to iPhone after years of strict Galaxy usage...but as usual, Samsung can’t keep up. Just like with the nx30 camera I purchased in 2015, and several lenses...suddenly Samsung stopped making the darn things! So here I am, with a new iPhone, and an obsolete camera (that is amazing on its own...Samsung messed up not pursuing that niche) but now I can’t get the smart camera app to function on iOS 12 (that was already on this phone). Of course it worked seamlessly with my Galaxy S8! Bitter much? Be the bigger company and fix this app to be compatible with your competitor. It obviously worked a few months ago because I see 6 positive reviews. You had one job Samsung! You’re too focused on curved screens (which are also horrible) and stupid VR headsets to invest in the phone features and apps that always kept me coming back to your brand! Apple has officially surpassed you in all aspects. And just like my stupid matching Samsung washer and dryer that got recalled after 2 years!!! I go to buy a new one and you don’t even make the same colors!!! So now I can have a jacked up mismatched set that I worked so hard to pay for to have a matching set to begin with! Please, fix this app because I am sick of getting the shaft from my poor decisions on “investing” in Samsung products!!! Enhance what you’ve already got and stop trying to one up Apple!
Junk -1 year later

It’s been a year, and thought I would try again. Camera has sat in a drawer. Still unable to connect the camera to the iPad using the app, WiFi, Bluetooth or camera adapter. Chatted with Samsung tech and told the only way to connect is Bluetooth. Still doe not connect. Then told it isn’t compatible with Apple. Useless app and camera for me. I know it isn’t an Apple product, but why have an app for it? This is my first review, but I felt strongly enough about the poor performance of the app to write one. I have the samsung ek-gc200 camera. I also use an iPad Pro. Unable to get my pictures onto the pro. I bought the micro to sd card camera reader, and nothing. I downloaded this app, and just continues to tell me to connect to the cameras WiFi network (no network detected). I just chatted with Samsung tech, and the results were not good. I was told that the app is not compatible with apple. What? I downloaded the app via Apple App Store onto my iPad Pro. How can it not be compatible with Apple. Then I was told I just have to wait for an update to the app, making my Samsung camera useless. I have a Kodak camera that does just fine. No problems using the card reader to download. Not an Apple issue, not a Kodak issue, strictly Samsung. Very disappointed.
Won’t Even DOWNLOAD HAHAHA!

Ok, I so I use both Samsung gear, NX series DSLR and their Galaxy 2 cameras. Have their 12” and 8” tablets w pens. Then I also have the old Note 3 which is a backup ph. However ai primarily use iPad Pro’s 12 and 10 and my daily IPhone 8 along w a Nikon and Canon DSLR. THOUGHT wouldn’t it be cool to have this app to automatically load photos onto my iPad or even my phone when I’m doing travel shoots. I can sync w Bluetooth to my galaxy gear and I believe a cloud. But this would have been so nice IF IT WORKED!Now bottom line.... doesn’t even LOAD! I had to crack up laughing! After a good laugh I realized that if this where my company and something with my name on it performed as problematic as this, whoever was responsible would truly be fired. To think it doesn’t reflect poorly is a real lack of good common business sense. Of course it does! Not as much on end of Apple as it does with Samsung! This is a real embarrassment to Samsung if they can’t see that, they need some changes. Man the growth potential of this had it been launched correctly! A little imagination goes along way! This was a bomb explosion in the face of Samsung. Fire the idiot who allows this app to ever see the light of day!
No Longer Works with iOS 13–Samsung WB800F now a Useless!

Since iOS 13...I can no longer use my trusted WB800F WiFi Camera. I really liked the WiFi connection my Samsung had through this camera app to transfer pictures and videos to iPAD, I EVEN BOUGHT A SECOND WB800 F and gave my first one to my daughter! We travel extensively and there are always hundreds and hundreds of pix and vids to transfer and edit, but now these cameras are useless UNTIL THIS CAMERA APP IS UPDATED. As a Samsung loyalty customer—our TV is also SAMSUNG! —I am now losing hope in Samsung, if they choose to throw their good customers “ under the bus” and drop their support to the WiFi transfer app. PLEASE UPDATE! ——-Here is an EARLIER review I wrote about my WB800 F WiFi camera together with this camera app:Awesome! awesome! Awesome! This is a FANTASTIC camera app. It is loaded with features. Thank you, Samsung for fixing the incompatibility issue with iOS 8. My faith in Samsung has been restored. This app, together with my Samsung WB800F is an engineering feat of technology and so much fun to use. I can't say enough about this feature-loaded camera when paired through this camera app.
This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included.
1. Compatibility with iOS 11.
2 Bug Fixes.
* Next iOS upgrade will not be supported.
